Start your second day in Luxor with a hearty breakfast at your hotel, then our tour guide will meet you and pick you up in the private car to begin your full-day adventure.

The first stop of the day is the Valley of the Kings, home to the famous tombs of pharaohs such as Tutankhamun, Ramses the Great, and Seti I. Explore the intricately decorated tombs and learn about the burial practices of ancient Egypt. Our guide will share fascinating stories about the discovery of King Tut’s tomb and the treasures it contained.

Next, we will head to the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, an architectural marvel located in Deir el-Bahari. This stunning temple is built into the cliffs of the Theban Mountains and is one of the most unique temples in Egypt. Hear the story of Hatshepsut, the powerful female pharaoh, and her reign.

We will then visit the Colossi of Memnon, two giant statues of Pharaoh Amenhotep III. These iconic statues stand at the entrance of his mortuary temple and are famous for the mysterious “singing” sounds that were once heard at dawn. You’ll have time to take photos and learn about the significance of these colossal figures.

Take a break and enjoy a second delicious lunch at a local restaurant. Enjoy more traditional Egyptian dishes, perhaps trying the famous falafel or grilled fish, accompanied by refreshing local drinks

After a fascinating day exploring Luxor, your tour guide will accompany you back to Safaga Port in your private car. You’ll be dropped off at the port in plenty of time to board your cruise ship and continue your journey.
