It sits near the pyramids, providing a perfect photo opportunity against the backdrop of these ancient wonders.
After the pyramids, you’ll head to the Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM), located near the Giza Plateau. This museum is one of the largest archaeological museums in the world and houses over 100,000 ancient artifacts. The highlight is undoubtedly the collection of treasures from King Tutankhamun’s tomb, including the famous golden mask. The museum provides an in-depth look into Egypt’s history and the richness of its ancient civilization.

Next, visit the Temple of Hatshepsut, a stunning mortuary temple built for Egypt’s only female pharaoh, Queen Hatshepsut. The temple’s dramatic architecture, carved into the cliffs of Deir el-Bahari, makes it one of the most impressive structures in Egypt.
Stop to see the Colossi of Memnon, two towering statues of Pharaoh Amenhotep III that have stood for over 3,000 years. These massive statues once guarded the entrance to the pharaoh’s mortuary temple and are an iconic sight in Luxor.
Take a break from sightseeing and enjoy a delicious Egyptian lunch at a local restaurant in Luxor. Sample regional specialties such as molokhia (a green stew), shawarma (spiced meat wraps), and falafel (fried chickpea patties) for a fulfilling and authentic meal.
After lunch, head to the awe-inspiring Karnak Temple, the largest temple complex in Egypt. Dedicated to Amun-Ra, the god of the sun, the temple features towering columns, grand pylons, and an immense hypostyle hall. The complex is a must-see for anyone interested in ancient Egyptian religion and architecture.
Conclude your Luxor tour with a visit to the Temple of Luxor, located on the east bank of the Nile. This temple is known for its magnificent statues, obelisks, and grand courtyards. It is dedicated to Amun, Mut, and Khonsu, the Theban triad of gods.
