Your desert adventure begins with an early 7:00 AM pickup from your hotel in Cairo or Giza. You’ll embark on a scenic 350 km (220 miles) drive through the Egyptian Western Desert. This vast region is filled with dramatic landscapes, unique natural wonders, and scattered oases. The drive takes approximately 4 hours, with two stops for coffee and restroom breaks to ensure your comfort.
At 10:00 AM, you’ll arrive at Bahariya Oasis, a tranquil retreat nestled between the Black Desert and the White Desert. Upon arrival, you’ll meet your local desert guide for a safety briefing and overview of the itinerary. Afterward, you’ll board a 4×4 Jeep to begin your exploration.
Your first destination is the Black Desert, named for the volcanic black powder that covers its mountains and dunes. This surreal landscape features dramatic contrasts between dark volcanic rocks and the golden sands of the dunes. It’s an excellent location for photography and exploration.

Following lunch, you’ll continue your journey to the White Desert National Park. By 4:30 PM, you’ll arrive in the White Desert, a magical landscape known for its distinct white limestone formations. The stunning rock shapes—resembling animals, mushrooms, and even human figures—create an almost mystical atmosphere, perfect for exploration and photography.
As the sun sets, the desert sky comes alive with vibrant colors, casting a beautiful glow on the landscape. Afterward, you’ll set up camp for the night and enjoy a traditional Bedouin-style dinner, including roasted chicken, rice, and vegetables. As night falls, relax around the campfire, sharing stories, and experience the desert’s tranquility under a starlit sky.
